Our Mission

Therapeutic Communication

Speech and Language Therapy Services are dedicated to improving communication skills and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with speech and language disorders. Our services include Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Language Therapy, Speech Evaluations, and Speech Sound Therapy. We work with individuals of all ages, providing personalized treatment plans to meet their unique needs. Our team of experienced therapists is committed to helping our clients overcome their communication challenges and achieve their full potential.

Lauren Felice M.S. CCC-SLP

Senior Speech-Language Pathologist & Clinical Director

Lauren attended State University of New York at Cortland to receive her Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders. She then moved to Virginia to complete her Master's degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Hampton University. Lauren is licensed to practice by the New York Board of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and by Virginia Board of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Lauren has worked with diverse populations and disorders in various settings. Lauren has worked pediatrics up to geriatrics in the private practice setting, school setting and rehabilitation setting. Her experience includes treating expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, swallowing disorders, fluency, apraxia, sensory feeding therapy, neurological disorders, aphasia, auditory processing disorder, and individuals with autism. Lauren is PROMPT trained and has experience with Alternative Augmentative Communication devices.

Samantha Simpson M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Samantha earned her B.A. from Temple University and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland. Originally from Frederick, Maryland, she first became interested in speech therapy through her love of languages and curiosity about how we develop sounds and grammar.

With a passion for treating speech sound disorders, she also has a strong interest in alternative/augmentative communication (AAC) and gestalt language processing (GLP). During the academic year, she works as a school-based SLP, supporting children in their communication growth.

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys reading, hiking, and running.

Carlie MacMillan M.S. CFY-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Carlie completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology at James Madison University—Go Dukes! Originally from New Jersey, she brings her passion for communication, connection, and collaborative care to her clinical fellowship year.

Carlie was drawn to the field of speech-language pathology because of the vital role communication plays in forming meaningful relationships and supporting independence. She values the opportunity to meet clients and their families where they are and work alongside them to reach their communication and swallowing goals. Carlie strives to make each session interactive, engaging, and tailored to build confidence and skills.

During her graduate training, Carlie gained experience across the lifespan in a variety of settings including early intervention, schools, and outpatient rehabilitation. Her clinical background includes screening, assessment, and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders. She has also participated in interprofessional collaboration for clients with feeding, swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive-linguistic needs across a variety of diagnoses.

When she’s not in the clinic, Carlie enjoys cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, spending time at the beach, and baking with friends.

Cameryn Nichols M.S. CFY-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Cameryn earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Originally from New Hampshire, she is proud to bring her passion for communication and connection to her clinical fellowship year.

She was drawn to the field of speech-language pathology because of its variety and the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. Throughout her training, Cameryn gained experience with individuals across the lifespan, supporting a wide range of communication needs—including expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency (stuttering), social communication (pragmatics), and more.

Outside of the clinic, Cameryn enjoys reading, going for walks, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with dogs—especially big ones!
